Djurgården

Djurgården ist einer meiner liebsten Stadtteile in Stockholm. Die Insel liegt im südöstlichen Teil Stockholms und wird auch "Museumsinsel" genannt. Skansen, das Open-Air Museum, das Vasa-, ABBA- und Nordiska Museum befinden sich auf Djurgården. Übersetzt man das Wort "Djurgården" aus dem Schwedischen bedeutet es "Garten der Tiere" und tatsächlich befindet sich auch ein Friedhof für Haustiere auf der Insel. 

Djurgården is one of my most favourite parts of Stockholm. The island is located in the southeast of town and is also called "museum island". You can find Skansen, the open-air museum, as well as the Vasa-, ABBA- and Nordiska museum this island. The direct translation of "Djurgården" is "animal garden" and therefore it makes sense that I recently  discovered a pet cemetery on the island.
